Job summary

CDA Newcastle is seeking a hands-on team member for our trade counter and warehouse in Newcastle. You will assist customers, process orders and quotes, and help find the right products to keep our branch running smoothly.

Applicants with a positive attitude, reliable work ethic, and confidence in customer conversations are encouraged. A current Australian driver’s licence is required; forklift experience is a plus but not essential.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing role requires a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Confident spoken communication with customers.
• Reliable and practical approach to tasks.
• Must hold a current driver’s licence and full Australian working rights.
• Forklift licence is helpful but not required.

What You'll Be Doing

• Serving customers at the trade counter and over the phone
• Processing orders, preparing quotes and helping customers find the right products
• Picking, packing and receiving stock
• Keeping the warehouse organised and stock accurate
• Supporting the team with general branch operations

About You

You may already know your way around fasteners, tooling, construction products or trade supplies. Alternatively, you could be starting out and ready to learn from the ground up. Either way, you'll need:

• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Confidence speaking with customers
• A reliable and practical approach
• A current driver's licence and full Australian working rights
• A forklift licence would be helpful but isn't essential
