Polyaire is seeking a Counter Sales/Storeperson for our Coffs Harbour branch. You will be the face of Polyaire at the trade counter, assist customers with products, process orders, and help keep the warehouse running smoothly.

In this varied role you will also manage stock, support with delivery driving, and provide essential administrative assistance to the Branch Supervisor. A forklift licence, a current driver's licence and ERP familiarity are valued.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Counter Sales/Storeperson to join our team at our Coffs Harbour branch.

This is a varied role that spans both the trade counter and the warehouse. Out front, you will be the face of Polyaire — serving customers, helping them find the right product and delivering the kind of service that keeps them coming back. Out the back, you will keep stock moving accurately in and out of the warehouse so the branch runs smoothly.

Our team is supportive, friendly, and thrives on collaboration and as the Counter Sales / Storeperson, you will provide essential administrative and data entry support to the team and Branch Supervisor, and assist with pick packing and delivery driving where required, helping ensure the efficient operation of branch.

What does my day to day look like?

• Identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions
• Processing sales orders, customer payments and all dispatch documentation
• Providing knowledgeable and friendly assistance to customers at the trade counter
• Maintaining accurate inventory counts and stock management
• Liaising with the wider team to ensure customer queries are resolved in a timely manner
• Accurately process sales transactions and handle customer inquiries with a solution-focused approach
• Working closely with warehouse personnel to ensure accurate and timely sales orders and deliveries
• Processing daily invoicing and assist to ensure sales orders are ready to be invoiced
• Meeting and greeting our customers, providing exceptional customer service on our front counter
• Assisting the service team with credit claim processing
• End of month KPI reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with credit procedures as issued by the Credit Department
• Maintain and update customer / product data base
• Pick, pack, and dispatch orders accurately and on timeOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
• Monitor inventory levels and alert supervisors or stock issues
• Rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices
• Assemble parts or kits to production standards
• Conduct visual quality checks on completed assemblies
• Assist in inventory cycle counts and discrepancy investigations
• Assist in unloading deliveries and checking items against delivery docket

What you will bring to the role:

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel
• Current Forklift Licence (LF)
• Current C Class Driver's License
• An understanding of the air conditioning market with previous experience
• Experience in sales support, customer service or a related role within a retail environment
• Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software systems
• Experience in a similar delivery driver, stores or warehousing role
• Good level of communication skills and rapport-building ability
• Good planning, organisation, and time management skills
• Basic numerical skill and good attention to detail and accuracy
