Job summary

Polyaire is seeking a Delivery Driver/Pick Packer for our new Pakenham branch. This hands-on role combines warehouse duties with on-road deliveries, ensuring orders are packed, dispatched, and delivered accurately and on schedule.

You will operate forklifts and other equipment, manage inventory, and provide excellent service to customers. A valid licence, teamwork, and a proactive attitude are essential for success in this varied role.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or delivery roles is preferred.
• Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record.
• Able to work to tight schedules and meet deadlines.
• Australian citizen or permanent resident at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and dispatch orders accurately and on time.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
• Monitor inventory and report stock issues to supervisors.
• Rotate stock using FIFO practices.
• Assist in unloading deliveries and checking items against delivery dockets.
• Communicate order status and delivery information to customers.
• Deliver goods to designated locations and ensure timely, safe arrivals.
• Record customer feedback and report product issues promptly.
• Conduct routine checks on delivery vehicle to ensure good condition.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and maintain positive customer experience.

About the role

Due to our brand new branch opening in Pakenham, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Delivery Driver/Pick Packer to join and support the daily operations of the new branch.

This is a dual-role position involving general warehouse tasks and delivering our products to our valued customers. You'll be picking and packing orders, loading and unloading trucks, keeping the warehouse tidy and safe, and delivering products directly to our customers- this is a hands-on, varied role ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of warehouse work, customer service, and being out on the road.

What will your day look like?

• Pick, pack, and dispatch orders accurately and on time
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
• Monitor inventory levels and alert supervisors or stock issues
• Rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices
• Assist in inventory cycle counts and discrepancy investigations
• Assist in unloading deliveries and checking items against delivery dockets
• Communicate order status and delivery information to customers
• Site Deliveries
• Record customer feedback and elevate product issues
• Assemble parts or kits to production standards
• Conduct visual quality checks on completed assemblies
• Safely operate company vehicles to deliver goods to designated locations
• Ensure timely and accurate deliveries according to the established schedule
• Conduct routine checks on the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, ensuring a positive experience for customers
• Provide updates on delivery status and report any issues promptly

What will you bring to the role?

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse, delivery driveror logistics environment
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
• Customer focused and good at building interpersonal relationships
• Attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment processes
• Ability to work unsupervised and to tight time schedules
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Basic computer literacy and proficiency in using warehouse management systems
• Basic numerical skills and good attention to detail and accuracy
• A valid Drivers Licence
