Job summary

Middy’s Electrical is seeking an experienced Counter Sales professional to join our Nerang branch on a full-time basis. You will provide excellent customer service, process sales transactions, and support daily branch operations.

Applicants should have at least 2 years in electrical wholesale, POS experience, strong communication, and a driver’s licence. Forklift licence is highly regarded. Join a growing national organisation focused on teamwork and professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in electrical wholesale or similar retail.
• Previous POS experience and strong customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to work in a branch team.
• Forklift licence is advantageous and encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service and assist with inquiries.
• Process cash and credit sales accurately per policy.
• Hit personal sales targets and support branch goals.
• Assist with promotions, displays and add-on sales.
• Manage quotes, credits and POS questions at sale.
• Maintain counter displays and branch presentation.
• Build relationships and escalate issues with Branch Manager.
• Keep branch systems accurate and follow QHSE rules.

The Role

Middy’s is looking for an experienced Counter Sales professional to join our branch team. In this role, you will provide excellent customer service, process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, and support the day-to-day operation of the branch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver excellent customer service and assist customers with product enquiries and requirements.
• Process cash and credit sales accurately in line with company policies and procedures.
• Achieve personal sales goals and contribute to branch sales and gross profit targets.
• Support in-branch promotions, displays and identify opportunities for add-on sales.
• Manage customer quotes, credits and enquiries at the point of sale.
• Maintain high presentation standards across the counter, displays and branch.
• Build positive customer relationships and help resolve customer concerns in conjunction with the Branch Manager.
• Maintain accurate information across branch systems and support continuous improvement.
• Follow company policies, procedures and QHSE requirements.

About you:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in the electrical wholesale industry.
• Previous Point of Sale experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• A valid driver's licence.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A willingness to follow instructions while showing initiative.

A valid forklift licence will be highly regarded.
