Job summary

Relationships Australia South Australia (RASA) seeks a Counsellor/Case Manager & Community Support Worker to deliver culturally responsive counselling and case management across Hindmarsh and surrounding areas.

The role focuses on CALD communities, humanitarian entrants, and cross‑sector collaboration to support health and wellbeing. Multiple fixed-term and ongoing positions with negotiable hours are available.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Social Work or equivalent with significant human services experience.
• Experience with CALD communities, humanitarian intake, and cross-sector liaison.
• Experience in case work, case management and counselling.

Responsibilities

• Respond to the Ask PEACE line, complete intake and provide immediate response.
• Provide culturally meaningful case management and counselling support for clients affected by gambling, BBV, COVID-19, floods or other disasters.
• Collaborate with significant others, faith leaders and other providers to improve health outcomes and support networks.

• Multiple positions available (Hours negotiable 45.6 to 76 fortnightly hours)
• $93,669 pro rata+ Super + Salary Packaging * (to increase your take home pay )
• Located across Hindmarsh, Adelaide CBD, Elizabeth & Marion

Who we are lookin g for

To be successful in this role you will have:

Tertiary qualifications (AQF Level 7) in Social Work, or tertiary education with significant experience in human services.

Demonstrated experience in working with CALD communities specifically with communities who arrive under the humanitarian program.

Experience in community engagement; community education, and cross-sector liaison.

Experience in case work and case management including counselling.

It would be a bonus if you have:

Significant experience in working within a cross cultural environment.

Experience working in the areas of public health issues and FDV.

Have a strong connection with CALD communities.

W hat you will be doing

Respond to Ask PEACE phone line, complete client’s intake and provide immediate response accordingly.

Provide culturally meaningfully case management and counselling support services for clients affected by gambling problems and/or BBV and/or other related issues and for those at risk and/or affected by COVID 19 and/or floods and drought (or any other natural disasters).

Work collaboratively with significant others when relevant, with faith leaders and other service providers including people with lived experience and volunteers to improve people’s health outcomes and support networks.
