Job summary

Dauan Island, Australia — Torres Strait Regional Council (TSIRC) seeks a part-time Cleaner on Dauan Island, 18 hours per week, permanent position, Monday to Friday. You will perform cleaning duties across Council facilities to keep them safe, clean, and welcoming for staff and residents.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of industrial cleaning experience, knowledge of cleaning products, and strong safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year practical experience in industrial cleaning.
• Knowledge of cleaning products and safe chemical use.
• Workplace health and safety awareness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Class C Drivers Licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent and high-quality cleaning services for Council facilities.

About the role:

As a Cleaner, you will provide consistent and high-quality cleaning services for Council facilities, contributing to a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for the community and staff. You will ensure that Council workplaces, accommodation, amenities, and other facilities are maintained in a clean, tidy, and hygienic condition. Your role supports the delivery of a safe and usable environment for staff and visitors by performing routine and detailed cleaning duties efficiently and effectively.
