Job summary

Torres Strait Island Regional Council (TSIRC) on Dauan Island is seeking a Housing Officer for a full-time, permanent position. You will support social housing tenants and applicants, manage tenancies and rent monitoring, and ensure council policies are followed.

You will conduct inspections, coordinate maintenance requests, assist applicants through the housing process, and maintain tenancy records to help keep housing assets safe and well-managed.

About the role:

The Housing Officer plays a key role in supporting Council's social housing tenants and applicants. You will provide high quality customer service and effective tenancy management while ensuring Council's social housing policies and procedures are followed.

Working closely with tenants and community members, you will help maintain sustainable tenancies, assist applicants through the housing process, and contribute to maintaining safe and well-managed housing assets.

As the Housing Officer, you will be responsible for:
