Job summary

Kingston Human Capital is seeking an experienced Cost Controller & Assurance Specialist to support the financial oversight and assurance of major rail infrastructure programs in Brisbane. You will provide independent cost analysis, assurance and reporting across a portfolio of investments to inform decisions and strengthen confidence in project performance.

Qualifications

• Specialist experience in cost control and/or independent cost assurance.
• Understanding of project cost forecasting, earned value management, contingency and cost risk.
• Experience reviewing complex project financial information, cost reports and contractor claims.
• Advanced analytical and reporting skills with Excel, Power BI or project controls systems.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to provide independent, evidence-based advice.
• Excellent written communication presenting complex financial information clearly.
• Experience on major infrastructure projects is highly regarded.

Your New Role

Our State Government client is seeking an experienced Cost Controller & Assurance Specialist to support the financial oversight and assurance of major rail infrastructure programs and projects.

This specialist opportunity will provide independent cost analysis, assurance and reporting across a portfolio of major rail investments, supporting informed decision-making and strengthening confidence in project financial performance.

Your key responsibilities will include

• Review and independently assess project cost reports, budgets, forecasts and estimates at completion.
