Anduril Australia is scaling operations in Sydney to support manufacturing volume. We seek an analytical, execution-focused Cost Accountant to join our team.

Positioned at the intersection of Accounting and operational Finance, this role is ideal for a Mid-Tier or Big 4 Auditor (3–4 years) looking to transition into industry. Reporting to the Cost Accounting Manager, you will drive end-to-end cost accounting, cost roll-ups, and reconciliations, ensuring accurate manufacturing data and supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CA or CPA qualification completed or tracking toward completion.
• 3–4 years of experience in Big 4 or Mid-Tier external audit, with exposure to auditing inventory, manufacturing, or supply chain clients.
• Strong foundational knowledge of accounting standards, specifically AASB 102 / IAS 2 (Inventories) and internal control environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong data skills; prior exposure to tier-1 ERPs like Oracle Fusion is a distinct advantage.
• Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to collaborate across local operational teams and global finance and accounting functions.
• Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 security clearance; flexibility to occasionally align with U.S. meeting times.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine standard costing updates and BOM reviews.
• Track the end-to-end manufacturing lifecycle with proper accounting flows between Raw Materials, WIP, Finished Goods & COGS.
• Manage month-end close for work orders and reconciliations.
• Analyze manufacturing variance data and investigate deviations in price, usage, efficiency and volume.
• Coordinate physical and cycle counts and prepare schedules for external audit reviews.
• Support global supply chain flows and cost backflushing to designated programs.
