Job summary

Acu-Tech Piping Systems, a leading Australian manufacturer, seeks a Management Accountant to join the Finance team. You will help turn data into insights and partner with leaders across our national manufacturing network.

Role covers month-end, budgeting, forecasting, process improvements and business partnering to drive performance. A proactive, detail-oriented candidate with manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance.
• CA or CPA qualified, or working towards completion.
• 2-5 years' experience in a management accounting, financial accounting or similar commercial finance role.
• Strong experience with month-end reporting, reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Experience preparing management reports and providing commentary on business performance.
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• The ability to communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to take ownership and drive outcomes.
• Experience within manufacturing, industrial or operational environments will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and reporting.
• Prepare accurate and timely management reports, including analysis and commentary on business performance.
• Conduct financial and variance analysis to identify trends, opportunities and areas of concern.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Partner with operational and business leaders to understand results and provide meaningful financial insights.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and financial records.
• Support statutory reporting, audits, taxation and compliance requirements.
• Assist in improving financial processes, controls, reporting and business efficiencies.
• Provide analysis and support for business projects and initiatives.
• Contribute across the broader finance function as required.
