Job summary

Anduril Australia is scaling operations in Sydney and seeks a Cost Accountant to join our growing team. You will drive end-to-end cost accounting across a portion of the portfolio, focusing on detailed analysis, cost roll-ups, and structured reconciliations for accurate manufacturing data and IPO readiness.

Reporting to the Cost Accounting Manager, you will leverage risk and controls experience, master standard costing, and partner with operations on factory floor processes in a defense

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance; CA/CPA in progress or completed.
• 3–4 years in Big 4 or Mid-Tier external audit, with inventory/manufacturing exposure.
• Strong knowledge of AASB 102 / IAS 2 inventories and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel and data skills; Oracle Fusion exposure is a plus.
• Excellent communication; able to collaborate across local and global teams.
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain NV1 security clearance; occasional US meetings.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine standard costing updates, cost roll-ups, BOM reviews and inventory valuation.
• Track end-to-end manufacturing lifecycle with proper flows for RM, WIP, Finished Goods, COGS.
• Manage month-end close for work orders; perform reconciliations and resolve exceptions.
• Analyze variance data; investigate price, usage, efficiency and volume deviations.
• Coordinate physical and cycle counts; support external audit reviews.
• Support global supply chain flows; cost backflushing to programs; exposure to international transactions.
