Mitani, a leading South Australian food producer, invites applications for a Group Accountant to strengthen financial reporting and cost accounting across manufacturing operations.

Reporting to the CFO, you will lead month-end close, analyse variances, optimise cost reporting, and partner with operations to improve profitability. A degree in Accounting or Finance and CA/CPA near completion are expected, with at least three years' experience in finance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CA or CPA qualification, or near completion.
• At least three years' experience in accounting, audit, advisory, tax or financial analysis.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and month-end reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with root-cause analysis.
• Clear communication with stakeholders outside finance.
• Interest in manufacturing cost accounting.

Responsabilités

• Lead the month-end close and prepare accurate monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, journals and accruals.
• Analyse financial results, investigate variances and provide commentary against budget and prior periods.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable controls and processes.
• Develop standard costing, bills of materials and manufacturing cost reporting.
• Investigate production and cost variances and partner with operations to improve performance.
• Drive continuous improvement across SAP Business One and financial reporting processes.
• Support capital expenditure analysis, business cases and post-investment reviews.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning.
