Job summary

Berry Street Yooralla in Victoria is seeking a passionate Behaviour Support Practitioner – Core to join our Allied Health team. This role supports people with disability with complex needs, providing person-centred Positive Behaviour Support and working under supervision to build professional capability.

You will manage a clinical caseload, conduct functional assessments, develop and implement PBSPs, deliver interventions, and coach families and support teams.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Disability, Health or related field.
• Registration or eligibility as Core Practitioner under the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Manage a clinical caseload and provide person-centred Positive Behaviour Support services.
• Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments to understand behaviours and opportunities to enhance quality of life.
• Develop and implement Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans that are evidence-based and responsive to participant needs.
• Deliver interventions that reduce behaviours of concern and build participant skills.
• Provide training and coaching to families, carers and support teams to implement strategies.
• Monitor and evaluate outcomes, including improvements in quality of life and reductions in restrictive practices.
• Work under supervision to continue developing skills and professional capability.
• Champion human rights, inclusion, choice and control in all aspects of practice.
