Job summary

Berry Street Yooralla is seeking a Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner to join the Allied Health team in Victoria. The role focuses on delivering Positive Behaviour Support, managing a clinical caseload and developing robust behaviour support plans in line with NDIS requirements.

You will mentor developing practitioners, collaborate with families, carers and multidisciplinary teams, and champion human rights and inclusion in all aspects of practice.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and review Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans in line with NDIS requirements.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to help participants achieve goals and reduce behaviours of concern.
• Train and support families, carers and support teams to implement behaviour strategies.
• Monitor outcomes and evaluate behaviour support strategies, including reductions in restrictive practices.
• Provide supervision and mentoring to Core Behaviour Support Practitioners where appropriate.
• Champion human rights, choice, control and inclusion in practice.

• Salary Range: $90,999 - $104,551 + Super + Salary packaging (dependent on experience)

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner - Proficient to join our Allied Health team. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered PBS practitioner looking to further develop their clinical expertise while supporting people with disability to improve their quality of life through Positive Behaviour Support.

In this role, you'll manage a diverse caseload, lead the development of behaviour support plans, and work collaboratively with participants, families, carers and multidisciplinary teams to create sustainable, positive change. You'll also have opportunities to mentor and supervise developing practitioners while continuing your own professional growth.

About the Role

As a Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will:

• Manage a clinical caseload and deliver high-quality Positive Behaviour Support services.

What you will bring

You are an experienced Positive Behaviour Support practitioner who is passionate about supporting people with disability and delivering meaningful, person-centred outcomes.

You will bring:

• Experience working as a Proficient Practitioner within the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Framework.
• Strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support principles and human rights-based practice.
• The ability to complete high-quality assessments and develop practical, evidence-based support plans.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with participants, families and stakeholders.
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• A genuine commitment to inclusion, respect and empowering people with disability to live the life they choose.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Disability, Health or a related discipline.
• Registration, or eligibility for registration, as a Proficient Practitioner under the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework.
• Previous experience working as a Core or Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Current National Police Check (and International Police Check if required).
• Current Australian Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
