Job summary

ParkBongSook City Restaurant in Sydney CBD is seeking a skilled Cook for a permanent full-time role (38 hours per week). The restaurant serves high-quality Korean and Modern Asian dishes in a fast-paced environment.

You will prepare and cook a variety of dishes, assist in prep, and maintain kitchen standards under the Head Chef. The successful applicant will have at least 1 year of relevant experience, a commercial cookery qualification (Certificate III or IV or higher), knowledge of Korean

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year full-time experience as a cook in Korean or Modern Asian cuisine.
• Knowledge of Korean cooking techniques, ingredients and preparation methods.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of Korean dishes.
• Assist in food preparation activities including washing, cutting, marinating, seasoning and portioning ingredients.
• Work with Head Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods.
• Ensure dishes are prepared and presented consistently to maintain quality and presentation standards.
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures for safe and efficient cooking.
• Assist with stock rotation, storage and inventory control to ensure freshness.
• Receive and inspect food supplies to ensure quality and compliance with kitchen requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations and equipment.
