Job summary

Southern Fleurieu Health Service in Victor Harbor is seeking an experienced Cook to join our team and deliver nutritious meals that support patient care and wellbeing.

You will work in a regional hospital setting with a 28-hour weekly schedule, flexible 7-day rostering, and a supportive multidisciplinary team. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to patient recovery and community health in a beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula location.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present meals in line with menu plans and dietary guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and infection control standards.
  • Adapt meals to meet specific patient dietary needs (e.g. texture-modified, allergies, cultural preferences).
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment.
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising food waste.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture focused on quality and care.
