Job summary

SA Health Eyre & Far North Local Health Network is seeking a Catering Team Leader at Port Lincoln Hospital to oversee daily food production and distribution, and to coordinate cleaning and linen services, ensuring safety and presentation standards across hospital operations.

You will lead a frontline team, maintain high-quality service, and drive continuous improvement within a complex health care catering setting, on a full-time, seven-day roster in Eyre and Western region.

• Sound knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards.

What You'll Be Leading

As Catering Team Leader, you'll oversee the daily production and distribution of food services across the hospital, ensuring meals meet nutritional, safety, and presentation standards. Alongside food service, you'll coordinate cleaning, linen, and laundry operations - guiding your team to deliver consistently high results in each area. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Supervising food production and distribution workflows to meet patient and operational requirements
• Coordinating and supporting team members across catering, cleaning, and linen services
• Monitoring service delivery against relevant standards and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Acting as a point of guidance for staff, fostering a positive and accountable team environment

What You'll Bring

• Demonstrated experience in a catering, hospitality, or food service environment
• Proven ability to lead, coordinate, and support a frontline team
• Sound knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards
• Experience managing or contributing to cleaning or linen services (desirable but not essential)
• Clear communication skills and the ability to guide staff through daily operations
• Current understanding of, or willingness to complete, relevant SA Health compliance requirements
