Job summary

You will prepare, cook and present dishes for a full-service restaurant/Café, monitor quality, manage stock and support junior staff in service periods, while adhering to food safety standards.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of relevant work experience is mandatory.
• Certificate III or Certificate IV in Kitchen Management is required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes for a full-service restaurant/Café according to recipes and service standards.
• Monitoring food quality, portion control, and presentation during all preparation and service stages.
• Maintaining consistency in portion control and presentation.
• Operating and regulating kitchen equipment, including ovens and grills.
• Seasoning, plating, and finishing dishes with sauces, garnishes, and accompaniments.
• Preparing meals to meet dietary requirements and customer requests.
• Managing storage, rotation, and labeling of food items.
• Ensuring safe storage of food in temperature-controlled facilities in line with food safety requirements.
• Monitoring stock levels and minimizing food wastage.
• Assisting with menu planning, food preparation levels, and service coordination.
• Supporting and guiding junior kitchen staff during service periods.
