Job summary

Juniper in Western Australia is seeking a dedicated Cook/Chef to prepare high-quality, nourishing meals for residents in our aged care setting. You will lead a small catering team, ensure safe food handling, and uphold strict hygiene and infection-control standards across the kitchen.

With a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, you will manage stock, ordering, budgeting, and use Microsoft Office for planning.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher is essential.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate is essential.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cook/Chef in large-scale meal production.
• Experience in production environments and knowledge of dietary nutrition for elderly residents.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking high-quality, nourishing meals for our residents
• Ensuring adherence to safe food handling and infection control procedures
• Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
• Managing stock control, replenishing, and ordering as needed
• Complying with Juniper's Occupational Safety and Health standards
• Supervising and providing direction to Kitchen Hands
