NICKY B'S SANDWICH BAR in Ramsgate Beach is seeking a versatile Cook/Kitchen Hand/Barista/Allrounder for a part-time role (with option for full time for the right candidate). You’ll move between kitchen duties, food prep and barista tasks in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

About the role

We are seeking a versatile Cook/Kitchen Hand/Barista/Allrounder to join the team at NICKY B'S SANDWICH BAR in Ramsgate Beach. This is a part-time position (with option for full time for the right candidate) that offers flexibility whilst supporting our fast-paced hospitality environment. In this role, you will wear multiple hats, moving seamlessly between kitchen duties, food preparation, and barista services. You'll be an essential part of our team, contributing to the smooth operation of our venue and ensuring every customer receives quality food and beverages.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and food preparation standards, maintaining consistency and quality
• Assist with all kitchen operations including food prep, plating and presentation of dishes
• Operate coffee machine and prepare other hot and cold beverages to specified standards
• Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen and service areas, adhering to food safety standards and regulations
• Stock and organise kitchen supplies and ingredients, monitoring inventory levels
• Support the front-of-house when required
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during peak periods
• Follow all health and safety protocols and company procedures

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working in a kitchen environment, café or hospitality setting is highly valued
• Demonstrated ability to prepare food to a high standard with attention to detail
• Basic barista skills or willingness to learn coffee preparation techniques
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team
• Physical fitness to handle the demands of kitchen work, including standing for extended periods
• Reliability and punctuality
• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and peak periods
