Job summary

Stomp Coffee House in North Perth, WA seeks a reliable Full-time Cook/Junior Chef to join our busy café kitchen. You will prepare breakfast and lunch items, assist with prep, and help maintain high food quality and hygiene standards. A friendly, team-oriented approach is essential for our fast-paced environment.

Early starts and rotating weekend rosters are involved. Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery and a current Food Safety Certificate are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Cook, Junior Chef or similar kitchen role.
• Experience in a cafe or breakfast kitchen is highly regarded.
• Basic cooking skills and understanding of food preparation.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and safe handling.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen while maintaining quality.
• Positive attitude, reliability and teamwork.
• Availability for early starts and rotating weekend roster.
• Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery and a current Food Safety Certificate are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch dishes to our menu standards.
• Assist with daily food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces and portioning ingredients.
• Prepare and replenish cabinet food, sandwiches, salads and other ready-to-go items.
• Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation and portion sizes.
• Follow recipes, food safety procedures and hygiene standards.
• Assist with stock rotation, labelling, storage and waste control.
• Keep kitchen equipment, workstations and preparation areas clean and organised.
• Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
• Assist with deliveries, stock handling and general kitchen duties as required.
