Job summary

Stomp Coffee House in North Perth, WA, is seeking a reliable Cook / Junior Chef to join the busy kitchen. This full-time, permanent role offers daytime shifts and an opportunity to develop culinary skills in a fast-paced café environment.

You will prepare breakfast and lunch dishes, assist with prep, ensure food safety, and work closely with the Head Chef to maintain quality and consistency. A Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery and a Food Safety Certificate are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Cook or Junior Chef in a kitchen.
• Experience in café/breakfast kitchen is advantageous.
• A positive attitude, reliability and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch dishes to menu standards.
• Assist with daily food preparation including chopping vegetables and sauces.
• Prepare and replenish cabinet food, sandwiches, salads and other ready-to-go items.
• Maintain food quality, presentation and portion control.
• Follow recipes, food safety procedures and hygiene standards.
• Assist with stock rotation, labeling, storage and waste control.
• Keep kitchen equipment and work areas clean and organized.
• Work with Head Chef to ensure smooth service.
