Job summary

Palm Club in Williamstown is opening a new island-inspired café and bar seeking a Cook. You’ll work with hands-on owners, contribute to a focused daytime and selected evening menu, and help set up the kitchen from day one.

If you’re enthusiastic about flavour, presentation and working in a small team, you’ll thrive here; no Caribbean cooking experience is required, just a curiosity to learn and a reliable, collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking in a café, restaurant or similar kitchen.
• Ability to handle prep and cook during service.
• Care about flavour, presentation and consistency.
• Reliable, organised and communicates well.
• Works well in a small team and can work independently.
• Able to work a mix of daytime, weekend and selected evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes consistently.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and tidy kitchen.
• Monitoring stock, flagging orders and keeping waste down.
• Following recipes and helping refine dishes as we grow.
• Contributing ideas for specials and new menu items.
