Job summary

Warrigal is seeking a Casual Cook to rove across ACT locations, delivering home cooked meals and supporting catering services. You will prepare a variety of meals, desserts and snacks while helping with budget control and stock management.

The role requires a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and a Food Safety Certificate. Aged Care experience is preferred, with opportunities to use Not-for-Profit salary packaging and Fitness Passport benefits.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and Food Safety Certificate are required.
• Experience in bulk cooking and budgeted stock ordering is expected.
• Familiarity with NSW Food Authority requirements.
• Experience in the Aged Care industry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver home cooked meals across ACT locations, including desserts and soups.

Join our team as a Casual Cook roving across various otherlocations in the ACT. In this role, you will have a passion fordelivering variety of home cooked meals, including desserts, cakes,soups and sandwiches to our diverse community. You will deliverwithin all aspects of the catering service at our home includingbudget control, ordering and storing of food items and supportingthe direction of kitchen staff.

The requirements

• You’ll hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery orrelevant skills
• You’ll hold a Food Safety Certificate
• You’ll have demonstrated experience in the preparation offresh bulk cooking
• You’ll have demonstrated ability to order stock withinbudget guidelines
• You’ll have strong understanding of food service complianceand the requirements within the NSW Food Authority
• You’ll have demonstrated experience in the Aged CareIndustry
