Job summary

Royal Rasoi Indian Restaurant in East Victoria Park, WA, is hiring a Cook for a permanent full-time role. You will prepare authentic North Indian dishes, manage prep and cooking, and work with Chefs during busy services.

Cook – Full-Time

Royal Rasoi Indian Restaurant is an established Indian restaurant located in East Victoria Park, specialising in authentic North Indian cuisine prepared using traditional recipes and cooking techniques.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Cook to join our growing kitchen team on a permanent full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
• Prepare ingredients, sauces, marinades and spice blends.
• Operate tandoor, grill and other commercial kitchen equipment where required.
• Ensure meals are prepared efficiently and within service requirements.
• Maintain consistent food quality, portioning and presentation.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with stock control and ordering requirements.
• Store food safely and rotate stock in accordance with food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations and equipment.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Assist Chefs with food preparation and daily kitchen operations.
• Work collaboratively with Chefs and other kitchen staff during preparation and busy service periods.

Essential Requirements

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent relevant qualification.
• At least one year of relevant commercial cooking experience where the applicant holds a relevant formal qualification.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and cook dishes independently in a commercial kitchen.
• Experience with Indian cuisine is highly regarded.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy commercial kitchen environment.
