Job summary

Temora SS Pty Ltd in New South Wales is seeking an experienced Cook to join our Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner service kitchen team. You will prepare, cook and present a range of Indian dishes to a consistent standard.

The role offers an annual salary of $80,000 with overtime paid for any hours worked beyond the standard roster, where required. You will plan menu items, monitor stocks and supervise kitchen staff during service, while upholding hygiene and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification (Certificate III or higher) in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
• Prior experience working as a cook in a restaurant environment.
• Sound knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen hygiene standards.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during service.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present a range of Indian dishes to a consistent standard.
• Plan menu items in consultation with kitchen management.
• Prepare and cook Indian dishes, sauces, entrées and mains for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner service.
• Estimate food requirements and assist with ordering of kitchen supplies.
• Monitor food stocks and rotate perishable items.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene, food safety and workplace safety standards.
• Supervise and coordinate other kitchen staff during Breakfast, Lunch & dinner service as required.
