Job summary

Mantra Club Croc is part of Accor and located near Airlie Beach in the Whitsundays, offering a relaxed resort-style environment with a lagoon pool and Club Croc Bistro. As a Cook, you will assist in prep, learn techniques, and contribute to creating memorable meals while gaining hands-on experience.

You will work under seasoned chefs, maintain high hygiene standards, and have opportunities to grow within Accor's global training platforms and loyalty programs.

Job description

Mantra Club Croc is located five minutes' drive from the main street of Airlie Beach, and is situated in the magical Whitsundays region in North-Queensland. The property offers a mix of hotel rooms and suites, a lagoon style pool, and Club Croc Bistro for its guests to experience within a relaxing resort style environment. On your days off, enjoy the myriad choices on offer to island hop, visit the powder white sands of iconic Whitehaven Beach, or snorkel, dive and discover the wonder of the Great Barrier Reef and meet its inhabitants.

Purpose

As a Cook, you are an essential part of our kitchen brigade, assisting experienced chefs in various culinary tasks, learning the art of cooking while contributing to the creation of delectable dishes. You will gain valuable hands‑on experience, develop your culinary skills, and help the team create dishes that leave wonderful memories.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, and measuring. Learn proper techniques for handling and cutting various food items
• Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation guidelines to ensure the safe handling of food
• Seek opportunities to expand your knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavour profiles
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, including washing dishes, equipment and utensils
