Job summary

Pyramid Residential Care Centre in Gordonvale, QLD is seeking enthusiastic Cooks to join our catering team to provide delicious, nutritious meals for residents. You’ll help create moments of enjoyment and connection through great food and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.
• Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene and safe food handling.
• Ability to prepare quality meals while catering for different dietary requirements.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.
• Friendly, flexible and enthusiastic approach to your work.
• Genuine commitment to delivering quality food and excellent service.
• Experience in aged care, healthcare or large-scale catering environments is highly regarded.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for people who bring great cooking skills, a positive attitude and a genuine passion for food.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or a higher recognised qualification.
• Experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.
• A sound understanding of food safety, hygiene and safe food handling.
• The ability to prepare quality meals while catering for different dietary requirements.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.
• A friendly, flexible and enthusiastic approach to your work.
• A genuine commitment to delivering quality food and excellent service.

Experience in aged care, healthcare or large-scale catering environments will be highly regarded, particularly knowledge of texture-modified meals and specialised dietary requirements.

You’ll also need to meet relevant aged care employment screening, vaccination and mandatory training requirements.
