Lazy Moe’s Ballarat seeks an experienced Cook to work on a rotating basis within a fast-paced environment. Our team is an established one; we value our staff just as much as our loyal customers and offer a great work environment.

Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment. To be eligible to apply for this position you must have an appropriate Australian work visa. This position is for immediate start for the successful applicant. A generous salary is on offer for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III with at least two years on-the-job training or AQF Certificate IV required.
• Minimum 3 years formal kitchen experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
• Knowledge of Food Hygiene and OH&S standards.

Responsibilities

• Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality.
• Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment.
• Preparing and cooking food.
• Seasoning food during cooking.
• Portioning food, placing on plates, and adding gravies and garnishes.
• Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities.
• Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements.
