Job summary

Avani Adelaide Residences is seeking a passionate Cook to join our kitchen team on a casual basis. You will prepare ingredients, cook a variety of dishes to menu standards, and present meals attractively for guests.

You will keep the kitchen clean and WHS compliant, support colleagues across shifts, and help ensure smooth daily operations. Prior kitchen experience and a flexible weekend roster are preferred. Hourly rates apply with weekend premiums.

This role is essential in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen, preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to a consistently high standard, and helping deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests. **Key Responsibilities Include:*** Prepare ingredients and assist with the cooking and plating of meals.* Cook a variety of dishes in line with menu standards and guest expectations.* Ensure excellent presentation of meals before service.* Maintain proper food storage, safety, and hygiene standards.* Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.* Support team members to ensure smooth daily kitchen operations.**Shift Details (subject to change):*** Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday* Shifts scheduled across breakfast and dinner periods* Immediate start available **Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):** Monday - Friday: $33.85 per hour Saturday: $40.62 per hour Sunday: $47.39 per hour **Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will require the following:* Proven experience as a cook or in a similar kitchen role.* Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods.* Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.* Positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for cooking.* Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.**Additional Information** At Minor Hotels, we value our people as the heart of our success.
