Job summary

Minor Hotels Adelaide is seeking a passionate and reliable Cook to join our kitchen team on a casual basis. You will prepare ingredients, cook a variety of dishes to the brand standards, and help deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests.

You will work across rotating breakfast and dinner shifts, maintain high standards of food safety and presentation, and support the team in daily operations. Join a global hospitality group with opportunities for learning and career growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a cook or in a similar kitchen role.
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for cooking.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assist with the cooking and plating of meals.
• Cook a variety of dishes in line with menu standards and guest expectations.
• Ensure excellent presentation of meals before service.
• Maintain proper food storage, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
• Support team members to ensure smooth daily kitchen operations.

Avani Adelaide Residences are looking for a passionate and reliable Cook to join our kitchen team on a casual basis. This role is essential in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen, preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to a consistently high standard, and helping deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Prepare ingredients and assist with the cooking and plating of meals.
• Cook a variety of dishes in line with menu standards and guest expectations.
• Ensure excellent presentation of meals before service.
• Maintain proper food storage, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
• Support team members to ensure smooth daily kitchen operations.

Shift Details (subject to change)

• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
• Shifts scheduled across breakfast and dinner periods
• Immediate start available
• Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):
• Monday - Friday: $33.85 per hour
• Saturday: $40.62 per hour
• Sunday: $47.39 per hour
