The Inventory Controller is responsible for ensuring the right materials are available when required to support safe and reliable Mount Isa operations, while minimising unnecessary inventory investment. Working closely with Maintenance, Operations, Warehouse, Procurement and Master Data teams, the role manages inventory risk, optimises stock levels and supports effective replenishment decisions. The position also plays an important role in improving data quality, identifying supply risks and driving continuous improvement across inventory processes and controls.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in inventory control, materials management, supply planning, procurement or warehouse operations, ideally within mining, resources, heavy industry or another asset-intensive environment. Practical experience working with an ERP system, preferably SAP, and an understanding of inventory replenishment, stock movements, purchasing and material master data will be highly valued. The role requires a strong analytical and practical mindset, with the ability to interpret demand, usage and lead-time information, manage competing priorities and work effectively with operational and technical stakeholders.
