Job summary

Glencore Mount Isa Mines is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to manage day-to-day warehouse operations, coordinating receipting, inventory management, picking, dispatch and customer service while maintaining accurate records and supporting continuous improvement.

The role leads by example, providing technical guidance to a small team and ensuring operations align with production and maintenance needs across Mount Isa Mines.

Qualifications

• Experience within warehousing, logistics or supply chain operations.
• Experience coordinating daily operational activities or leading small teams.
• Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily warehouse activities to ensure safety, efficiency and on-schedule completion.
• Allocate work and priorities across the warehouse team to meet demands.
• Mentor Storepersons through coaching and day-to-day guidance.
• Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks and implement improvements.
• Ensure inventory transactions (receiving, picking, issuing, dispatch) are recorded accurately in SAP.
• Maintain inventory accuracy via cycle counts and stocktakes.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to operations and internal stakeholders.
• Support contractor coordination, freight management, and logistics.
• Promote safe work practices and contribute to a positive team culture.

About the role

Reporting to the Supervisor – Warehousing, the Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of warehouse operations, ensuring work is planned, prioritised and completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Working closely with Supervisors, Storepersons and key operational stakeholders, you will coordinate receipting, inventory management, picking, dispatch and customer service activities while maintaining accurate warehouse records and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will lead by example, provide technical guidance to team members and ensure warehouse operations continue to support production and maintenance requirements across the Mount Isa Mines operation.

Key responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily warehouse activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and on schedule.
• Allocate work and priorities across the warehouse team to meet operational demands.
• Support and mentor Storepersons through coaching, training and day-to-day guidance.
• Monitor warehouse workflow, identify bottlenecks and implement practical improvements.
• Ensure receipting, picking, issuing, dispatch and inventory transactions are completed accurately in SAP.
• Maintain high standards of inventory accuracy through cycle counting, stocktakes and routine inventory reviews.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to operations, maintenance and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor warehouse housekeeping, storage standards and compliance with site procedures.
• Assist with contractor coordination, freight management and logistics activities.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and work with stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Support shutdown planning and critical operational material requirements.
• Promote and maintain safe work practices while contributing to a positive team culture.

Required experience

You are an experienced warehouse professional with excellent organisational skills and a passion for coordinating work, solving problems and supporting others to succeed.

You enjoy working in a fast-paced operational environment where no two days are the same and take pride in delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining high standards of safety and inventory accuracy.
