Dematic, based in Belrose (Sydney), seeks a Control Systems Support Engineer to join our Customer Service team. You will provide technical support for automated material handling systems, including diagnostics, PLC programming, commissioning, and customer guidance.

This role suits engineers who enjoy hands-on troubleshooting, direct customer interaction, and delivering innovative automation solutions on mission-critical sites across Australia.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent in engineering/science or electrical trade.
• Experience with PLC configuration, programming and commissioning (Siemens S7 preferred).
• Knowledge of SCADA applications such as ICONICS, CITEC, WINCC.
• Ability to travel interstate, regional areas and overseas.

Responsibilities

• Provide second level technical support to maintenance teams.
• Participate in On-Call after-hours support roster.
• Conform to OHS&E standards in design and execution of work.
• Develop functional specifications and assist with budget costings.
• Prepare PLC programs and configure SCADA/PLC equipment (HMI, scanners, VFDs).
• Test and commission systems on site and produce client reports.
