Job summary

Gold Fields Australia is seeking a Process Operator to join our Processing teams across Western Australia operations. You will operate the processing plant and equipment in a safe, productive and efficient manner to maximise plant performance while protecting the environment and health and safety of personnel.

You must have prior gold processing experience, knowledge of processing methods/equipment (including Citect), a strong safety focus, and basic computing skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in gold mineral processing environments.
• Familiarity with Citect control systems and process controls.
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate the processing plant equipment (crushing, grinding, gravity, leach, adsorption, elution, tails storage).
• Run process control systems.
• Identify maintenance needs and optimise plant performance.
• Improve through-put and efficiency of plant operations.
• Operate IT loaders and power tools as required.
• Develop and follow mining plans with safe, timely execution.

Our Opportunity:

Gold Fields Australia is currently seeking Process Operator to join their Processing teams across our Western Australian operations.

• St Ives – Residential in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie
• Gruyere – FIFO from Perth on an 8/6 7/7 Roster
• Granny Smith – FIFO from Perth on an 8/6 7/7 Roster
• Agnew - FIFO from Perth on an 8/6 7/7 Roster

As a key member of the site operational team, you will be responsible for operating the processing plant and associated equipment in a safe, productive and efficient manner, to maximise plant performance without effecting the environment or health and safety of personnel.

What you will be doing?

• Operation of all processing plant equipment relating to Crushing, Grinding, Gravity, Leach, Adsorption, Elution, and Tails Storage Facility.
• Operate the process control systems.
• Identify and diagnose items that require preventative maintenance or repair.
• Maximise plant and equipment efficiency during production.
• Recommend and implement improvements to plant output and efficiency.
• Safely operate IT loader, bobcat, forklift, and power tools.
• Develop and maintain and adhere to procedures to ensure timely, consistent, and efficient execution of mining plans.

About you?

• Previous operating experience in a gold mineral processing environment. Applications from individuals with operating experience in other commodities will be considered.
• Sound knowledge of processing methodologies and equipment including Citect control system.
• Strong focus on safety, and a commitment to following company policies and processes.
• Computing skills in word processing, spread sheets and databases.
• Possess a valid manual driver’s licence.
