Job summary

Certis Security Australia is hiring a Control Room Operator in Parramatta. This permanent full-time role involves monitoring CCTV, alarms and access control in a busy control room, coordinating incident responses with on-site teams and maintaining detailed logs and system records.

You will work day and night shifts on a rotating 4 on, 4 off roster, contributing to a high‑trust, security‑conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold Security Licence, Classification 1A (Unarmed Guarding) and 1E (Monitoring Centre Operator).
• Valid First Aid Certificate (3 years validity) with current CPR Certificate.
• Ability to clear an Australian Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV, alarms and access control to detect and respond to incidents.
• Coordinate incident response and communicate with on-site teams.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports and system records of security activities.
• Manage multiple systems in a fast-paced environment with strong situational awareness.

As a Control Room Operator, you’ll be the eyes and ears of site security—monitoring systems, detecting risks, and coordinating responses in real time. Your quick thinking and attention to detail will help keep people, assets, and operations safe while ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

About the role

This is a fast-paced, tech-driven role where you’ll be working in a control room environment managing CCTV, alarms, and access control systems. You’ll monitor live activity, respond to incidents, and coordinate with on‑site teams to ensure any issues are handled quickly and effectively.

No two shifts are the same—you’ll be juggling multiple systems and making real‑time decisions, all while maintaining a calm, professional approach.

Job Location: Parramatta

Contract: Permanent full-time opportunities available

Shift Pattern: Day and Night shifts available on a rotating 4 on, 4 off roster:

2 x Day Shifts: 0600 – 1800
2 x Night Shifts: 1800 – 0600
4 Days Off

Key responsibilities:

• Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and access control platforms to detect and respond to incidents
• Coordinate incident response, including escalating issues and communicating with on‑site teams
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and system records for all security activities
• Manage multiple systems in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining strong situational awareness

About You

• Must haveSecurity Licence,Classification 1A(Unarmed Guarding) & 1E (Monitoring Centre Operator)
• Valid First Aid Certificate(3yearsvalidity)with current CPRCertificate(1 year validity)
