Job summary

Glencore Australia in NSW's Ulan West area seeks a Contracts Officer to join our Commercial Team. Based onsite, you will manage contract documentation, advise management, and ensure processes align with our standards.

You will work with SAP and the Microsoft Office suite, support tender documentation, and drive contract renewals. A competitive salary plus regional allowance and relocation assistance are offered.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Contract Documentation in accordance with standards and policies.
• Provide advice to management and Principal’s Representatives on contract protocols.
• Ensure all processes follow the authorised contract system and procedures.
• Assist in development of tender documentation.
• Provide training and support to Mine contract holders.
• Identify and renew contracts before expiry/commencement of work.
• Maintain a system to record and retrieve all contract documentation.
• Monitor the effectiveness of the contract management process and identify improvements.

About Ulan Complex

The Ulan Coal Mines is an established, efficient, and high production underground longwall mining complex in the western coalfields of NSW. With state‑of‑the‑art mining equipment, the latest technologies, and best in class safety practices, we are leading exporters in thermal coal. The complex comprises of Ulan Underground Mine, Ulan West Underground Mine and Ulan Surface Operations.

The Role

Reporting to the Contracts Superintendent, we're looking for a Contracts Officer to join our Commercial Team, operating across the Ulan Complex.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of Contract Documentation in accordance with Ulan Complex Standards and Policies;
• Provide advice and assistance to management and Principal’s Representatives in the correct protocols and procedures for initiating and undertaking contract works;
• Confirm that all Contract processes are undertaken in accordance with the authorised company contract system, policies and procedures;
• Assist in or undertake the development of the tender documentation;
• Provide continued training and support to Mine contract holders;
• Proactively identify and renew contracts prior to expiry/commencement of work/ future work
• Maintain an accurate and efficient system to record, store and recover all documentation associated with all contracts processed;
• Monitor the effectiveness of the contract management process to identify improvements.

You’ll succeed if you

• Are an excellent communicator and demonstrate high attention to detail, with strong written ability.
• Have a flexible approach and are commercially orientated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• You can engage with all stakeholders to ensure contracts are accurate and fit for purpose.
• Have high level computer skills, including the knowledge of Microsoft Suite of applications and SAP.
• Have qualifications in Contracts Management and experience working in Mining / Heavy Machine industries (desirable).
