Job summary

Buildability Group in Sydney is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to take commercial ownership of two live projects worth around $200M. You will oversee procurement, subcontractor management and contract administration to deliver strong commercial outcomes.

The role requires leadership of the contracts team, robust risk management and close collaboration with senior stakeholders to ensure milestones are met and value is maximised across the programme.

Qualifications

• Experience as Contracts Manager / Senior Contracts Administrator in commercial construction.
• Experience managing large-scale commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement and subcontractor management.
• Proven ability to manage variations, claims and commercial risk.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• Confidence to own significant project packages and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of head contracts and subcontracts from tendering to finalisation.
• Provide contractual advice to project team and manage risks.
• Maintain accurate commercial records, documentation and reporting.
• Lead project financial reporting, cost management and commercial analysis.
• Support planning, programming and forecasting to align with milestones.
• Mentor and develop Contracts Administrators.
• Coordinate contracts administration to achieve commercial deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with company systems, procedures and safety requirements.
