Job summary

Georgiou is seeking a Senior Estimator to join our NSW Pre-Contracts team and lead complex tenders from pursuit through to submission. You will develop winning strategies, manage stakeholder relationships, and provide leadership to a team of estimators.

You will mentor two direct reports, drive continuous improvement in estimating processes, and collaborate with project teams to de-risk bids across major infrastructure opportunities in New South Wales.

Qualifications

• Significant estimating experience on major civil projects.
• Proven track record leading TfNSW tenders.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capability.
• Excellent risk assessment and commercial awareness.
• Bachelor level or higher in engineering or construction.

Georgiou is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our NSW Pre-Contracts team and play a key role in securing the next generation of major infrastructure projects.

This is a genuinely senior opportunity suited to a estimator who is comfortable leading complex tenders from pursuit through to submission, developing winning strategies, managing stakeholder relationships and providing leadership to a team of estimators. You will also assume responsibility for mentoring and supporting 2 direct reports while helping drive continuous improvement across our estimating function.

About the Role

Reporting to the Pre-Contracts Manager, you will take ownership of major tender opportunities and lead estimating activities throughout the bid lifecycle.

• Leading the preparation and delivery of successful tender submissions.
• Developing tender methodologies, pricing strategies and submission plans.
• Managing tender programmes and coordinating multidisciplinary bid teams.
• Reviewing specifications, drawings, scope requirements and commercial risks.
• Driving value engineering initiatives and identifying innovative project solutions.
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and industry stakeholders.
• Providing leadership, mentoring and technical guidance to junior estimators.
• Managing and developing two direct reports within the estimating team.
• Supporting business development and project pursuit activities.
• Contributing to ongoing improvements in estimating systems, processes and standards.

Your Skills and Experience

You're an experienced estimator who thrives in a fast-paced bid environment and enjoys leading teams through complex infrastructure opportunities.

You'll bring:

• Significant estimating experience across major civil infrastructure projects, with demonstrated experience preparing and leading TfNSW road infrastructure tenders.
• Demonstrated success delivering major tenders from initial pursuit through to submission.
• Strong leadership capability with experience mentoring or managing team members.
• Excellent commercial acumen and risk assessment skills.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, procurement strategies and project delivery models.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and build trusted relationships across all levels of the business.
• Exceptional communication, planning and organisational skills.
• A collaborative approach and genuine passion for developing people.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
