Job summary

TasNetworks invites applications for a hands-on Contractor Works Delivery Manager to lead contractor-delivered programs across Tasmania. You’ll drive on-time, on-budget delivery aligned with contract requirements while managing variations and contractor performance.

The role emphasizes leadership in electricity network construction, strong contractor relationships and operational delivery, with a base salary from A$102,958 per year plus super and a negotiable total package.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in project or construction management with a trade background as an overhead lineworker or electrician.
• Experience managing large contractor programs of work in the electricity supply industry.
• Strong commercial understanding of contracts and variations; knowledge of transmission and distribution networks.

Responsibilities

• Manage contractor-delivered works across a statewide portfolio.
• Ensure works are delivered on time, within budget and to contract requirements, including variations management.
• Monitor contractor performance across delivery, quality and commercial outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with contractors to plan works and resolve delivery issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate contractor programs.
• Provide technical guidance to ensure works meet TasNetworks standards.
• Use systems such as SAP, The Podium, iAuditor and Microsoft Office to track delivery and performance.
