Job summary

BHP is seeking a Specialist Contractor Management professional in Adelaide to optimise contractor governance across the Copper SA asset. You will lead improvements, ensure IMS alignment, and collaborate with site leaders to boost compliance and capability.

You will drive training, support change initiatives, and provide technical guidance through field engagements, contributing to a safe, efficient, and compliant contractor program.

Qualifications

• Experience in contractor management roles including Contract Owner or similar.
• Proven project management, stakeholder and change management experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication, capable of engaging senior leaders.
• Well organized, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Auditing experience and leading technology system projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Asset wide improvements to uplift Contractor Management.
• Act as custodian of the Copper SA Integrated Management System (IMS) 11.1 – Contractor Management Standard and related tools.
• Develop, manage and deliver project plans for process improvements and documentation/tools updates.
• Manage change through collaboration and effective communication with Site stakeholders and leadership.
• Execute implementation plans including workshops, training, and capturing customer feedback.
• Complete Site and Asset level verification and assurance for contractor management requirements.
• Support Contract Owners, Job Initiators and Contractors to close compliance gaps and identify improvement opportunities.
• Monitor, analyze and report contractor management compliance and effectiveness, providing insights to Senior Leadership.
• Deliver training and coaching workshops to stakeholders to meet contractor management requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance through field engagements on Site.
• Drive standardisation through Copper SA Contractor Management Working Group.
