Job summary

BHP is seeking a senior Commercial Leader for a multi‑billion‑dollar mega-project in Australia. You will head the Owner's commercial function, manage governance and contractual outcomes with the EPCM partner, and lead a small team of professionals to deliver value and risk management across the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial leadership for a multi‑billion-dollar capital project.
• Build and lead a 5–6 person Owner's Commercial Team.
• Develop and execute contracting, procurement and commercial strategies.
• Govern EPCM contractor performance, governance and incentives.
• Lead contract management, change management, and dispute resolution.
• Drive value, cost optimisation and commercial reporting across the project.
• Collaborate with Project Controls, Finance, Legal and Project Leadership.
