Job summary

Mayfield Industries Pty Ltd is seeking a Contract Specialist to support the commercial delivery of projects, managing contract administration, mitigating risk, and providing practical commercial advice to project teams.

You will work closely with Commercial and Project Delivery Managers, Senior/Project Managers, Estimators, Finance and key stakeholders to ensure obligations are met and records remain accurate and compliant throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commercial Law, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Experience in contract administration, commercial management or contract management in a project-based environment.
• Strong understanding of contract terms, contract administration processes and commercial risk management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure, or industrial projects is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Review and administer client and subcontractor contracts through the project lifecycle.
• Provide commercial and contractual advice to project teams.
• Assist with contract negotiations and execution of client and subcontractor agreements.
• Identify and manage contractual and commercial risks and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain contract management plans and documentation.
• Maintain contract registers and project commercial documentation.
• Prepare progress claims, variations, and contractual notices.
• Monitor contract performance and advise on potential disputes or issues.
• Support resolution of contractual disputes with legal and project stakeholders.
