Job summary

Goldstar Transport is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee a major transport contract based north of the River in Wangara, WA. You will supervise operations, compliance, fleet, people, customer relationships and commercial performance to deliver safe, efficient and profitable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in transport operations or contract management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of CoR, fatigue management and heavy vehicle legislation.
• Strong commercial experience, including budgets, costs, productivity, KPIs and profitability.
• Experience managing key customer relationships in a B2B environment.
• Proven ability to lead, develop and hold operational teams accountable for safety and performance.
• Understanding of fleet scheduling, transport productivity and asset utilisation.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of operational and commercial performance, including revenue, profitability, productivity, fleet utilisation and cost management.
• Drive workforce and capacity planning to meet current and future operational and customer requirements.
• Identify and manage operational, commercial and capacity risks to protect service delivery and business performance.
• Build strong senior relationships with key customers, suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement across processes, systems, scheduling, fleet utilisation and operational performance.
• Provide decisive leadership during operational disruptions and critical incidents.
• Monitor revenue, labour, maintenance and hire costs.
• Prepare and report on weekly and monthly KPIs and operational performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, efficiency and profitability.

Position Available
We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee the successful delivery of a major transport contract, with responsibility across operations, compliance, fleet, people, customer relationships and commercial performance. This position will be based North of the River (Wangara).

Reporting directly to the COO, you will play a key role in ensuring the contract is delivered safely, efficiently and profitably while maintaining strong relationships with our major customer. This is a hands-on transport management role suited to an experienced professional who understands the demands of heavy vehicle operations and is confident managing compliance, people, fleet and customer expectations in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Demonstrated experience in transport operations or contract management
• Comprehensive knowledge of CoR, fatigue management and heavy vehicle legislation
• Strong commercial experience, including accountability for budgets, costs, productivity, utilisation, KPIs and profitability
• Demonstrated experience managing key customer relationships, service performance and commercial discussions in a B2B environment
• Proven ability to lead, develop and hold operational teams accountable for safety, performance and service outcomes
• Strong understanding of fleet scheduling, transport productivity and asset utilisation
