The Department of Defence is seeking an APS6 Contract Management Officer to contribute to procurement planning, tendering, contract formation and contract management activities across Defence estates and services.
You will provide guidance on procurement policy, technical, commercial, legal, and financial investigations to support contract management outcomes, and deliver essential contract management documentation and risk reviews with a focused, outcomes-driven mindset.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Collective Agreement (DECA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. The Directorate of Security Operations (DSO), within the Estate Service Delivery (ESD) Branch provides protective security services across the Defence Estate.This is achieved through the management of Access Control Officers, National pass Officer for the provision of Defence Common Access Cards (DCACs), Defence-Australian Federal Police Memorandum of Understanding (AFP MOU), Electronic Access Control Systems and Visitor Management Systems.
Within the Contract Management function as an APS 6 Contract Management Officer, you will be accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex contract management work within an integrated workforce.
As the APS 6 Contract Management Officer, you will have a considerable level of stakeholder engagement as one of a small team who manage the Base Services Access Control contract for MSS Security and Wilson Security.
You will possess strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and team-building skills, with an understanding of procurement and management of contracted deliverables.
