Beecroft Weapons Range Operations Support Manager

The APS 5 Operations Support Manager supports Defence estate operations at Honeymoon Bay Campground within Beecroft Weapons Range, including compliance, visitor services, financial administration, contractor coordination, security and incident response.

Located on the Beecroft Peninsula, 30 minutes from Nowra NSW, the critical duties of this role are:

  • Management of public access and responsible use, WHS, risks and incidents.
  • Coordination of campground operations, bookings, finances, contractors and maintenance.
  • Performing local security officer duties and supporting emergency responses.
  • Managing stakeholder engagement and approved social media communications.
  • Supervision and coordination of a team of six, including allocating work, setting priorities, monitoring performance, supporting training and ensuring safe and effective delivery of Defence outcomes.
  • Coordination of staff rosters, leave and fatigue management to maintain safe, effective and sustainable operations.

DOTAM is a nationally dispersed organisation with responsibilities that directly support the preparedness, training, and operational effectiveness of the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

Our diverse portfolio includes the management of 40 Military Training Areas across Australia, facilitation of Singapore Armed Forces unilateral training activities, support to Defence domestic operations, and coordination of bushfire mitigation programs across the national Defence estate.
