Australian Department of Defence – Sydney CBD NSW is seeking an APS 6 Contract Management Officer to oversee procurement planning, tendering and contract management activities. The role includes delivering contract management documentation and providing expert guidance on procurement policy, legal and commercial requirements.

Eligible for Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP) with additional superannuation; role based in Melbourne with options for other locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement planning, tendering and contract management.
• Ability to provide advice across procurement policy, legal and commercial requirements.
• Experience delivering procurement documentation including templates, schedules and reports.
• Understanding of legal principles and policy compliance in procurement.

This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Collective Agreement (DECA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. About our Team

The Directorate of Security Operations (DSO), within the Estate Service Delivery (ESD) Branch provides protective security services across the Defence Estate. This is achieved through the management of Access Control Officers, National pass Officer for the provision of Defence Common Access Cards (DCACs), Defence-Australian Federal Police Memorandum of Understanding (AFP MOU), Electronic Access Control Systems and Visitor Management Systems.

Within the Contract Management function as an APS 6 Contract Management Officer, you will be accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex contract management work within an integrated workforce.

As the APS 6 Contract Management Officer, you will have a considerable level of stakeholder engagement as one of a small team who manage the Base Services Access Control contract for MSS Security and Wilson Security.
