Job summary

The ACT Government agency is seeking an Assistant Director, Contract Management – Complex Project Delivery in Canberra to lead contract management across multiple projects. Hybrid arrangements apply with a Canberra office and a 12-month contract plus potential extension, offering an attractive hourly rate.

You will coordinate contract lifecycle activities, ensure compliance and governance, and build reporting and dashboard tools to support complex project delivery and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract management, procurement and governance within government or regulated environments.
• Ability to coordinate contract lifecycle activities, compliance, risk management and governance.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain contract registers, dashboards, reporting and performance information with strong stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist contract management and procurement support across multiple complex projects, including coordinating workflows, deliverables, milestones and contract lifecycle activities.
• Review and maintain contract management documentation, registers and governance records while monitoring compliance, risks, probity and legislative requirements.
• Develop reporting, dashboards, tools and guidance materials while building contract management capability and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
