Qualifications

  • Experience as Contract Administrator/Officer or similar with contract negotiation and management.
  • Understanding of commercial law, procurement, and compliance.
  • Proficient in contract management software, document control tools, and MS Office.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contracts.
  • Ability to explain complex legal and financial terms clearly.
  • Business and project management qualifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, prepare, and maintain contracts and variations in line with policies and legal requirements.
  • Review and interpret contract terms to ensure compliance with laws and standards.
  • Negotiate terms, variations, and amendments with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Monitor contract performance, obligations, and deliverables, identifying risks or disputes.
  • Provide guidance on contractual rights, obligations, and risk management.
  • Maintain accurate contract records and variation registers.
  • Collaborate with legal advisors to ensure effective contract administration.
  • Support dispute resolution and claims management when required.
  • Ensure all contract activities align with organisational objectives and compliance frameworks.

Task & responsibilities
  • Draft, prepare, and maintain contracts and contract variations in line with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Review and interpret contract terms, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organisational standards.
  • Negotiate contract terms, variations, and amendments with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Monitor contract performance, obligations, and deliverables, proactively identifying risks or potential disputes.
  • Provide guidance and advice to internal teams on contractual rights, obligations, and risk management.
  • Maintain accurate contract records, documentation, and variation registers.
  • Collaborate with legal advisors to ensure effective contract administration.
  • Support dispute resolution and claims management processes when required.
  • Ensure all contract activities are aligned with organisational objectives and compliance frameworks.
Qualification & experience
  • Previous experience as a Contract Administrator, Contracts Officer, or a similar role handling contract negotiation and management
  • Good understanding of commercial law, procurement procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Skilled in using contract management software, document control tools, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong skills in negotiation, communication, and solving problems
  • High attention to detail and able to manage several contracts at the same time
  • Able to understand complex legal and financial terms and explain them clearly to others
  • Relevant qualifications in Business and project Management are preferred.
