Job summary

ACCIONA seeks an experienced Contract Administrator for the M80 Ring Road Upgrade Alliance in Victoria. You will support the Commercial & Finance team, manage subcontract documentation, variations, progress claims and time extensions, and assist with procurement and performance monitoring on a major civil project.

You will collaborate with construction and commercial teams, ensure contract obligations are met, and contribute to safety and continuous improvement across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Engineering, Commerce, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Experience in Contract Administration, Commercial or similar role on major civil/infrastructure projects.
• Strong subcontract management, variations, progress claims and commercial processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and administer subcontract documentation in line with project requirements.
• Manage subcontract variations, progress claims and extension of time assessments.
• Support subcontract procurement activities and monitor subcontract performance.

Reporting to the Contracts, Procurement & Legal Manager, you will play a key role in the administration and management of subcontractor and supplier contracts across a major infrastructure project. Working closely with construction and commercial teams, you will help ensure contractual obligations are met, risks are managed, and project outcomes are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.This role offers the opportunity to contribute to one of Victoria's significant transport infrastructure projects while working within a collaborative alliance environment that values accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for supporting subcontract administration throughout the contract lifecycle, from contract award through to project completion and demobilisation.Key Responsibilities:Prepare, review and administer subcontract documentation, ensuring contracts are issued accurately and in accordance with project requirements.Manage subcontract variations, progress claims and extension of time assessments in line with subcontract provisions and project procedures.Support subcontract procurement activities, including contract award processes, preliminary meetings, and monitoring subcontract performance and progression.Maintain proactive relationships with subcontractors while providing commercial and contractual support to the wider project team.Contribute to project safety, continuous improvement initiatives, and effective project close-out and demobilisation activities.Required Skills and CompetenciesDegree qualified in Engineering, Commerce, Construction Management or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.Experience in a Contract Administration, Commercial or similar role on major civil, transport, rail or infrastructure projects.Strong understanding of subcontract management, contract administration, variations, progress claims and commercial processes.Excellent attention to detail, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project environmentACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 certification in Australia, which certifies the company's commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
